Photos From The Florida MegaCon 2004Journal: bcox | Date: 11/17/2009 The highlight of the Con for me – thankfully there was one! - was having breakfast on Saturday morning with Phil Jimenez and Michael Lark, along with Mark Hay, Brian Tidwell, and Chris Haggard from the Splash Page Comic Art booth. It was really impressive hearing about their experiences working with DC and Marvel as they talked shop. Both were very talkative and it was great to get a behind-the-scenes vision of what it is like working with their co-creators on comic related projects. There were artists doing a lot of sketching for ACTOR. ACTOR (A Commitment To Our Roots) held a lottery for Walt Simonson where for a $100 donation you would get a full figure sketch and John Higashi was one of the winners of that opportunity. Kaare Andrews and Randy Green were also doing sketches. The live ACTOR auction was held Saturday and seemed to be attended well. I was there just before it began and it was standing room only in a much smaller room than last year. Images
