The NYCC Countdown Has Begun

10/15/2009 // New York Comic Con

Hi, this is Larry Settembrini, Exhibit and Sponsorship Curator for the New York Comic Con. Today is October 13th and we are now officially less than one year away from our 2010 event.  Next year is sure to be our biggest and best event yet. Why?  Because we've been working around the clock to make sure that this event will blow everyone away.  The 2009 New York Comic Con was a smashing success with over 77,000 attendees and 475 exhibitors, but we plan on going even bigger in 2010.  Thats right, next year we have the ENTIRE Javits Convention Center to ourselves 3 floors in total.  And that is just the start.  Allow me to fill you in on everything else we are working on for 2010:

Last week saw New York Comic Con's One Year Out Party and the big reveal of our first NYCC 2010 Guests -- John Romita, Sr. and Jr.! The Romitas are nothing short of comic book royalty, and for all their contributions to comics (and all their time in NYC), we're honored to welcome them as NYCC 2010's first and only Keynote Guests!

The One Year Out party was a very special event for us and we had all sorts of guests come out to show us their bowling skills. Even Paris Hilton stopped by to bowl with us. Hopefully you were there to enjoy the festivities as well.

Last week we also saw the culmination of our partnership with The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring at Radio City.  It was nothing short of epic, and you can see our terrible pictures of it at www.mediumatlarge.net.

Following the screening, the big news was that The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers will be coming to Radio City Music Hall on October 8 and 9, 2010.  Thats right, New York Comic Con, New York Anime Festival, and The Two Towers will all be in NYC on the same weekend in 2010!

As you can see, the 2010 New York Comic Con is shaping up to be a huge event and we hope that you will join us and help make this the best event ever. Send me and email or give me a call to find out how our marketing channels can take your product & brand to the next level.
